Army ROTC is a college program offered at over 1,700 institutions across the United States that trains students to become officers in the U.S. Army. It is designed to build leadership skills through classroom instruction and tactical exercises, which are beneficial for both military and civilian careers. The program offers substantial financial assistance, including competitive scholarships that can cover full tuition, fees, and books, as well as a monthly stipend.
Upon successful completion of the ROTC program and their college degree, graduates are commissioned as a Second Lieutenant with a guaranteed career path in either the active-duty Army, the Army Reserve, or the Army National Guard. The program emphasizes physical fitness, teamwork, and provides opportunities for adventure and travel.

The purpose of the NROTC Program is to educate and train qualified young men and women for service as commissioned officers in the Navy’s unrestricted line, the Navy Nurse Corps and the Marine Corps. As the largest single source of Navy and Marine Corps officers, the NROTC Scholarship Program plays an important role in preparing mature young men and women for leadership and management positions in an increasingly technical Navy and Marine Corps.
Selected applicants for the NROTC Scholarship Program are awarded scholarships through a highly competitive national selection process, and receive full tuition, books stipend, educational fees and other financial benefits at many of the country’s leading colleges and universities. Upon graduation, midshipmen are commissioned as officers in the unrestricted line Naval Reserve or Marine Corps Reserve.

The Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) is a leadership development program that prepares college students to become officers in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force. Through hands-on training, academic coursework, and physical fitness, cadets develop the skills necessary to lead and commission as officers upon graduation.
