Student Admission Volunteers

Connect prospective students to the Northwestern experience by hosting an intimate look at a typical day as a Northwestern Wildcat.

Undergraduate student volunteers play an important role in the recruitment of future Wildcats through programs like Purple Preview, coordinated by the Student Admission Volunteers (SAV).

Become a Purple Preview Host

Enhance the Northwestern visit experience by hosting prospective students in our Purple Preview program. Responsibilities include:

  • Hosting “Purple Preview Conversations” by connecting with prospective students via phone or Zoom to discuss your Northwestern experience and student life.
  • When in-person visits resume, acting as hosts for Purple Preview attendees by providing a warm and welcoming visitation experience in line with university policy, including taking a prospective student to class and touring living spaces.
  • Volunteering on an as-needed basis during the academic year, assisting with programs like Wildcat Days and Fly-in visits or online programming.
