CLAVE
CLAVE volunteers are a critical element in recruiting Latinx students.
In collaboration with the Office of Undergraduate Admission, CLAVE volunteers work to increase the number of students identifying as Latinx applying to and enrolling at Northwestern University. Volunteer programs and opportunities are listed below. To get involved, please reach out to a CLAVE Coordinator.
Volunteer opportunities include:
Pen Pals
Connect with prospective and admitted students via email or snail mail. CLAVE volunteers serve as a personal contact and help answer student questions. You may be writing to someone across the country!
Student Panels
Share your NU spirit and Latino perspective with prospective students, parents, alumni, counselors, and university guests. As a panelist you will have an opportunity to talk about who you are and what you do on campus while you motivate students to apply.
Hosting Wildcat Days
Host newly admitted students on campus in April! Your guest will attend special activities that showcase the Latino experience on campus. The best part, you can participate in all events too!
Hometown High School Visit
Get trained to represent Northwestern and recruit students from your high school during Winter Break.
